“Bini Pradhan grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. Her mother worked as a cook for the Nepalese royal family, and her delicious food was always in the spotlight. Bini followed her mother’s passion, went to cooking school in Bombay, and got a Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management catering. She then worked for several large hotel chains, gaining valuable experience in the Nepali food industry.”

Craftsman Coffee Truck is a small, small family owned business situated in the sleepy little beach town of Pacifica, California. It started with Kirk and Judy Hayes and a love for drinking coffee that brought them together. Coffee has always served an intimate place for them. They enjoyed visiting cafes while traveling and nurturing a daily satisfying ritual. When they moved from San Francisco to Pacifica as new parents, Kirk started to home roast out of necessity to survive the sleepless nights on hand with their twins. Silly as it might sound, they started experimenting with roasting various regions of coffee together! Blending 2 or 3 flavors together was the equivalent of building a delicious meal in a cup...and this just got them crazy in love with this culinary hobby. A few grams with a tiny little toaster oven, presents to friends, pop-ups, then the events with a coffee cart...the rest was history.
